Northeastern Wins Both Games on Saturday After winning the second game 16-6

Lane Snow drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Plainsmen past CSU Club 16-6 on Saturday. Snow singled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and hit a home run to left in the fourth inning, scoring two. Northeastern took the lead in the bottom of the first inning, Josh Cote homered to left field, scoring two runs, making the lead 2-1. The Plainsmen scored seven runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. An error scored a run, Wynn Drewes drew a walk, scoring one run, Joel Franco was hit by a pitch, scoring one run, Snow singled, scoring two runs, and Ryan Kucy singled, scoring one run. Northeastern scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Snow homered to left, scoring two runs, Amar Mahmood doubled, scoring three runs. James Harbison earned the win for the Plainsmen. He surrendered four hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Sage Ferguson pitched one inning of shutout ball, surrendering zero hits, striking out two and walking none. Northeastern amassed nine hits in the contest. Kucy and Snow were a force together in the lineup, as each collected two hits. The Plainsmen swiped three bags during the game.
