Northeastern Wins A Close Against Against CSU Pueblo 3-2 To Start out the two game away series

Both teams showed strong outings on the mound, as the Plainsmen defeated CSU Pueblo 3-2 on Wednesday. Sage Ferguson started on the mound for Northeastern and took the win. A double by Josh Cote gave Northeastern th lead 2-1 in the top of the third inning. Ferguson allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. Edyn Barber collected the save. James Harbison tossed one inning of shutout ball for Northeastern, the lefty gave up one hit, striking out two and walking none. Wynn Drewes led Northeastern with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Cote provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Northeastern with two runs batted in.
