Northeastern Takes This First 2 Games against Trinidad State College, After Winning Game 2 12-7

Bats were blisterd as Northeastern outshone Trinidad State College 12-7 in Game 2 on Friday. Northeastern collected 11 hits, while Trinidad State also had 11 hits. Northeastern opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Northeastern first got on the board when Lane Snow singled, scoring one run. The Plainsmen added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Wynn Drewes singled, and Snow was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run. Northeastern added one run in the third after Joel Franco grounded out. Edyn Barber earned the win for the Plainsmen. The righty pitcher gave up seven hits and six runs (one earned) over four and one-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none. James Harbison collected the save. Northeastern tallied 11 hits in the game. Josh Cote, James Nolan, Josh Moore, and Snow each collected two hits. Moore and Snow each drove in three runs for the Plainsmen. Northeastern stole five bases during the game and turned one double play. The Plainsmen are back at it again tomorrow March 23rd at 12:00 PM against the Trojans.
