Northeastern Baseball Falls To New Mexico Junior College In The Second Game Of The Double Header

Plainsmen Baseball could get anything going in the second of the double header against New Mexico Junior College, as they fell in the contest 17-0. Garrett Garrison was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Garrison came in for relief and was able to strikeout one batter in one inning pitched. 

A strong second inning for NMJC helped propel them to victory, as they plated 9 runs in the inning. They scored two runs in the first, and another 6 runs in the third inning. 

Matt Yarish took the loss for the Plainsmen in the contest. Yarish threw 1.1 innings, giving up 8 runs (6 earned) on 6 hits and striking out two batters. Makoy Lucero gave up 3 earned runs on one hit and walked one batter. Evan LaMunyon went for 1.1 innings, giving up 6 runs (two earned) on 5 hits and striking out one batter. Garrett Garrison went one inning, collecting one strikeout. Deacon Trenkle finished up the game, facing one batter and striking them out. 

Jett Maisano, Brendan Clelland and Andres Johnson all collected one hit in the contest.
