
Northeastern Baseball Couldn't Get the Bats Rolling Early Enough, Falling To NMMI 12-6
Northeastern Baseball got the bats rolling a little too late, ending up in a defeat to NMMI 12-6. Yusei Uzawa was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Uzawa went 2-2 at the plate, obtaining a triple and scoring two runs.
Harrison Good was able to homer in the top of the fifth inning to start off the scoring effort for the Plainsmen. Keon Bandy started on the mound for Northeastern. Bandy went 2.1 innings allowing 5 runs (three earned) on 6 hits, striking out three and walking one. Evan Lamunyon came in relief, pitching 1.1 innings, giving up 5 runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Jared Tameling pitched two innings, giving up two earned runs on one hit, striking out three and walking two. Korey Koehler pitched .1 inning, striking out one and walking one.
Uzawa led the Plainsmen with two hits in the contest. Brayden Stufft, Good, Brendan Clelland, Max Valerio and Hayden Swaen each drove in one run for Northeastern.
