Northeastern Baseball Splits The Four Game Series With Dawson Community College After Taking The Loss In Game Four

Northeastern Baseball splits the Sunday-Monday four game series with Dawson Community College, as they fell 18-13 in game four. Brendan Clelland was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Clelland went 2-4 at the plate, hitting one single, one homerun, driving in 5 runs and scoring two runs. 

Despite the loss, the Plainsmen were able to collect 10 hits in the high scoring affair, unfortunately Dawson was able to collect 14 hits on their way to victory. A homerun to right field by Clelland gave Northeastern the lead 3-2, in the bottom of the first inning. Dawson was then able to score 8 unanswered runs up to the fourth inning. The Plainsmen scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Clelland singled, scoring two runs and Zach McVay homered to left field, scoring three runs. Tony Slizowski took the loss for Northeastern. Slizowski went four innings, giving up 10 runs (9 earned) on 10 hits, walking none and striking out 7. Jackson Sheehy came in for three innings of relief, giving up 8 runs (3 earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking four. 

Carson Sauter led the Plainsmen with three hits in the contest. Brayden Stufft collected two hits for Northeastern.
