Northeastern Drops First Game To Miles Community College

Northeastern Baseball drops first game of a four game series against Miles Community College 11-6. Brayden Stufft was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Stufft went 2-4 in the contest, collecting two singles, driving in two runs and scoring one run.

A single by Stufft gave Northeastern the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the first inning. A solo home run to left field by Harrison Good gave the Plainsmen the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the second inning. Keon Bandy ended up taking the loss for the Plainsmen. Bandy went 4.1 innings, giving up 8 runs (6 earned) on 9 hits, walking two and striking out three. Evan Gail came in for 2.2 innings of relief, giving up three unearned runs on 5 hits, walking two and striking out two. Stufft led the Plainsmen with two runs batted in. Stufft and Zach McVay each collected two hits in the contest. Tanner Peerey paced the Plainsmen with three walks, overall the team had patience at the plate, amassing 7 walks in the contest.
