Northeastern Splits The Tuesday-Wednesday Series With Miles Community College Thanks To 15-7 Victory In Game Four of the Series

Northeastern Baseball goes 2-2 against Miles Community College, taking down the Pioneers 15-7 in the last game of the four game series. Hudson Hoy was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Hoy went 2-4 at the plate, hitting one double and one single, driving in 5 runs and scoring one run. 

A solo home run to center field by Brayden Stufft on a full count put Northeastern on the board in the bottom of the first inning. The Plainsmen flipped the game on it's head in the bottom of the second inning, scoring six runs on two hits to take the lead 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning came when Hoy hit a single that drove in three runs. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Northeastern broke up the tie when Michael Clark grounded out scoring one run. Then a dropped third strike followed to extend the lead to 9-7. The Plainsmen scored six run on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning to help secure the victory. An error scored one run, Max Valerio singled, scoring one run, Clark singled, scoring one run, and Hoy doubled, scoring three runs. 

Jared Tameling started the game off for Northeaster. Tameling went 3.2 innings, giving up 5 earned runs on 5 hits, walking three and striking out four. Makoy Lucero ended up getting the win for the Plainsmen. Lucero went 3.1 innings, giving up two earned runs on three hits, walking three and striking out four. The Plainsmen were able to collect 9 hits in the contest. Hoy, the number nine batter, led Northeastern with 5 runs batted in. Clark, Zach McVay and Hoy each collected two hits in the contest. The Plainsmen amassed 8 walks in the contest, Harrison Good, Brendan Clelland and Valerio collected two walks each. Yusei Uzawa led the way with three stolen bases. The Plainsmen were able to obtain a total of 7 stolen bases.
