Northeastern Baseball Extends It's Winning Streak To 11 Games After Taking Down Hastings 12-2

Northeastern Baseball is on a hot streak and it did not end after taking on the Hastings Broncos. The Plainsmen extended their win streak to 11 after taking down the Broncos 12-2 on Tuesday's double header finale. Hayden Swaen was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Swaen went 3-3 at the plate, hitting one double, scoring two runs and driving in three runs. 

A double by Carson Sauter put Northeastern on the board in the top of the first inning. The Plainsmen added to their early lead in the top of the third after Zach McVay tripled to center field, Aniel Del Orbe singled down the right field line, Swaen singled to right field and Anthony Porras tripled to center field, each scoring one run. Northeastern scored 5 more runs on 6 hits in the top of the fifth inning. Swaen singled, scoring one run, Harrison Good singled, scoring two runs, Sauter singled, scoring one run and Hudson Hoy singled, scoring one run.

Jared Tameling earned the win for the Plainsmen. Tameling threw four innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on 6 hits, walking two and striking out four batters. Jackson Sheehy threw one inning, walking two and striking out one batter. Northeastern was able to tally 16 total hits in the contest. Del Orbe, Sauter and Swaen each collected three hits in the contest. Andres Johnson collected two hits for the game.
