NJC Moves To 3-0 In Conference Play

Northeastern has started 2022 off on a hot streak as they have won 3 consecutive games in conference play.  After struggling to get things going this season, the Plainsmen hope to turn things around and get their record back to .500 this week.  NJC faces conference rival Otero College on Tuesday night the 25th.  Tip off starts at 6pm at the Bank of Colorado Event Center on the NJC campus.

(Game Recap 1/22) Plainsmen vs. Western Nebraska CC = Win 89-78

1st Half -  NJC has a sluggish 1st half getting outscored by the Cougars.  WNCC leads at halftime 39-29.

2nd Half - NJC unloaded with a huge 2nd half recording 60 points.  NJC wins 89-78.

Breakdown: Northeastern struggled to get any rhythm going in the 1st half and couldn't make many stops defensively.  2nd half told a much different story as NJC came out hot and stayed hot the entire half outscoring the Cougars 60-39.  NJC out rebounded the Cougars on their way to a double digit win on the road.  Leading scorer for the Plainsmen was sophomore Cyler Kane-Johnson who put up 32 points and shot 60% from beyond the arc.  Obi Agbim continues his solid scoring by contributing 16 points in the win.  Latrell Jones also played a big roll in coming off of the bench and scoring 10.  Jared Adams scored 9 points and grabbed 8 boards.  NJC moves to 3-0 in Region IX south play.
