(Game Recap 11/10) Plainsmen vs. Salt Lake Community College – NJC Loss 91-76
1st Half – NJC fought against a talented SLCC team but came up short the first half going to locker room down 8.
2nd half – NJC came out and tied the game and took the lead for a short time, with 9 min to go it was 68-66 SLCC and looked to be going down to the final shot. But SLCC battled and jumped all over the Northeastern Guards forcing 8 TO and that ended up pushing the lead out to 81-76 and was too much for NJC to overcome.
Breakdown – NJC was led by Ryan Payne 13 points and Daxton Dayley with 13 points, Donta Dawson also added 12 Points for the Plainsmen.in the end what hurt NJC the most was the 27 TO that they committed. NJC Shot 56% FG 46 % three point
(Game Recap 11/11) Plainsmen vs. Western Wyoming CC – NJC Loss 69-62
1st Half – NJC came out in a back and forth battle and executed their plays well. Both teams took shots and scored and went up at the most by 6 points. At the half the score was all knotted up at 31. Both teams did a great job defensively and executing their stuff well.
2nd half – was much the same and found both teams taking slight leads then losing them. Malachi Greenwich gave NJC a big boost off the bench scoring his 9 points all in the second half. He also added a tough 5 rebounds. In the end though WWCC executed their offensive scheme a little better and won 62-69
Breakdown – Sophomore big man Shaun Riley had 12 points 7 rebounds doing it all with foul trouble. Donta Dawson had another great game with 11 points. Kobe Greene had 8 points going 2/4 from the three-point line. Tethloach Tut had 8 points and Malachi Greenwich chipped in 9 points 6 rebounds in the second half.
