Game Recap 1/24/2023 Plainsmen vs. Otero – Otero Wins 86-78
1st half – NJC came out strong and competed and led most of the first half. Ryan Payne came off the bench and hit a couple of three pointers to get NJC going. Shaun Riley and Keynion Clark both had a great game rebounding and scoring.
2nd half – NJC came out scoring and keeping Otero at bay for most the second half. It wasn't until 5:00 min to go in the game that Otero took their first lead. NJC came right back and got the lead that Otero held for just a few min. then otero came back and took a 5-point lead. That was too much for NJC to overcome. NJC fell 78-86
Breakdown: Keynion Clark had 19 points 7 Rebounds, Shaun Riley had 18 points 5 rebounds, Daxton Dayley finished with 12 points 6 rebounds.
Game Recap 1/27/2023 Plainsmen vs. Trinidad State – Trinidad wins 85-67
1st half – Shaun Riley played really well got NJC going, Ryan Payne hit some big threes to keep NJC in the game early. Daxton Dayley shot and played well throughout the game.
2nd Half – Second half NJC ran out of steam and shots stopped falling.
Breakdown: Shaun Riley 21 points 6 rebounds, Ryan Payne 11 points, Daxton Dayley 11 Points
Game recap 1/31/2023 Plainsmen vs. North Platte – NJC Wins 88-81
1st half- NJC came out and took the lead and really never looked back. Kobe Greene and Ryan Payne came out shooting the long ball and Shaun Riley and Keynion Clark made the inside look easy.
2nd half- Much the same, Ryan Payne kept shooting and Daxton Daley picked up where Kobe Greene Left off hitting three pointers. Shaun Riley, Keynion Clark and Malachi Greenwich kept the inside guys for North Platte busy.
Breakdown: Shaun Riley finished with 14 points 4 rebounds Keynion Clark had 16 points 10 rebounds, Ryan Payne had 24 points.
