Northeastern Falls in a Heart Breaker To Air Force Prep 74-73

The Plainsmen fell to the Air Force Prep Huskies on a heart breaking last second layup to make the score 74-73. Northeastern held the lead for most of the game, but the Huskies staged a comeback late in the second half to seal the victory. Ryder McConnell was named the DDC Player of the Game. McConnell was absolutely on fire from the three point line. He made his first 5 threes in the contest and ended up with 28 points, while shooting 8-11 from the three point line. Owen Wright was able to pour in 15 points of his own to help in the offensive attack for the Plainsmen.

The game didn't end up how the Plainsmen liked, but there were alot of good take aways in the contest. For the Plainsmen to excel in future contests like this, they will need to work on converting their free throws down the stretch of the game and commit less turnovers. Northeastern will be back in action again on December 13th as they take on Salt Lake Community College at 6:30 PM, when we host the Region IX Crossover Tournament.
