Vang Signs Division II
Chance Vang is the first soccer athlete of the 2018 graduating class to sign on to continue his athletic and academic career. Chance has signed a National Letter of Intent with NCAA Division 2 University of Wisconsin - Parkside located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. University of Wisconsin - Parkside will be making the switch to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the fall 2018 season.
"Chance is a player with a calming presence under pressure. He is great at receiving the ball with his back to goal and bringing others into play. He likes to turn and get forward which I believe is a unique quality in today's player and something that is occasionally missing in our game." Said University of Wisconsin-Parkside Head Coach Jason Zitzke.
"Chance was a cornerstone in the transformation of this program from a winless team to a 22-14-3 team over these past two seasons. Chance was often one of the first players that opposing coaches spoke about and rightly recognized by fellow coaches with a number of accolades. A quiet man by nature but a fierce competitor who is constantly leading by example. Chance is a player that makes those around him better and brings stability to the game." Said Northeastern Head Coach David Groves
