Seven Men’s Soccer Players Earn Honors
Nov. 8, 2018, Sterling, Colo. – Seven Plainsmen soccer players received honors for their play this season. The Northeastern soccer team had a record season this year and were nationally recognized three weeks in a row. The men at one point were ranked 12th in the nation and had the record to back it up. For post-season play, they hosted a playoff game for the first time in program history. The Plainsmen who were recognized for their outstanding play are the following:
First Team All-Region (South Division):
- Jean Carre- Forward
- Dani van Steijn- Midfielder
- Gaetan Garcia- Defense
Second Team All-Region (South Division):
- Maurice von Winkler- Forward
- Quentin Hornung- Midfielder
- Pim von Zoest- Defense
- Luc Denisselle- Goalkeeper
Most Valuable Player (South Division):
