Northeastern 4, Lamar 0  

The Plainsmen took to the field against the new program of Lamar. It was a dominant display by NJC who had the advantage in every department.  NJC had many attacking opportunities throughout the first half, however, having created the better chances in the first half it remained scoreless. NJC had 17 total shots but failed to find the back of the net in the first period of play. These shots were a mix of short and long range and a mix of on-target and off-target. Lamar goalkeeper made some great saves too.

Northeastern 2, Trinidad 1 

NJC men's soccer took to the field against a tough Trinidad State. Trinidad are always a strong opponent and a tricky one for NJC.  The Plainsmen played a strong game and this was represented in the amount of shots they had. NJC had more shots in both periods of play.  The second half was similar in the aspect that NJC had more of the ball and created more chances. The Plainsmen were finally able to take the lead late into the second half as Usai took a free kick and sent it into the box to an onrushing Parker Horton who fought to get to the ball first and put it into the net. NJC was able to maintain their lead to take all three points.

Northeastern 1, Otero 1

It was a very tight and close game throughout. NJC came out on top and applied the pressure to Otero straight away. NJC was awarded with their early pressure as they scored the game opener just 2 minutes into the game. Otero was able to punish an NJC mistake as they got their equalizer on the 65th minute. It remained scoreless for the rest of the game and overtime. Both teams had chances to win the game, but neither side could get that all important winning goal.
