Northeastern Softball Falls To Eastern Arizona College in Las Vegas, NV
Plainswomen Softball faced off against Eastern Arizona College in Las Vegas, NV on the 24th, and ended up falling in the contest 15-0. Eastern Arizona was able to jump out to the early lead, thanks to an 8 run first inning. EAC was able to push across another 4 in the second, and 3 more in the third. The Plainswomen's pitching and defense was able to pull it together after that, without giving up another run for the rest of the contest. Mackenzie Bowie started in the circle for the Plainswomen. Bowie ended up taking the loss, giving up 8 runs (7 earned) on 9 hits, striking out two and walking two. Maddie Cline came in for relief and pitched one inning, giving up one earned run on one it.
Kelsi Jurczewsky was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Jurczewsky went 1-2 in the contest, collecting a single and stealing one base. Addison Steele was the only other Plainswomen to pick up a hit, going 1-2 in the game.
