Northeastern Golf Competes in Region IX Tournament Held at McCook, NE

Kennedy Halper of the Plainswomen golf team at Northeastern Junior College was honored as the DDC Golfer of the Weekend at the Region IX Regular Season Tournament held in McCook, NE on March 28, 2025. Halper showcased her skills by scoring 122 in the first round and 123 in the second, securing a 12th place finish in a fiercely competitive field.

The tournament highlighted the abilities of Northeastern's women's team under the challenging conditions of a high-stakes junior college competition. Halper's performance was a standout, earning her top honors for her consistency and resilience over the two rounds.

The Plainswomen are now preparing for their next challenge at the Region IX Home Tournament, scheduled for April 3, 2025, at the River View Golf Course in Sterling, CO. The team looks to build on their performances and continue their strong showing in the season.
