
Northeastern Wrestling Crowns Two First Place Finishers at The Cougar Open, As Bronson Richins and Silas Thompson Win Their Respective Weight Classes
Northeastern Wrestling stands out at Cougar Open with two first place finishers. Bronson Richins and Silas Thompson were the DDC Plainsmen of the Contest as they both were able to walk away with first place finishes. Calvin Mendez was able to obtain a second place finish. Ethan Sinclair, Billy Brenton and Rene Perez were all able to walk away with third place finishes.
This was the first time since Coach Duncan has been a head coach, that an individual has won an open tournament, two of them were able to do that this past weekend. The team is gearing up for the last meet of 2024 as they compete at the UNC Quad Dual, where they will face off against UNC Greeley, Colby Community College and Fort Hays Tech Northwest.
