Dillenburg Signs at University of Sioux Falls

Jan. 28, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — Jaycie Dillenburg has signed her national letter of intent to play at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D. Dillenburg was a local standout from Sterling, Colo. who excelled as a prep for the Sterling High Tigers., and she continued her success throughout her two years as a Northeastern Plainswoman.

Dillenburg earned her success at Northeastern and set the record in every category in Northeastern women soccer's short history. Some of those accolades include scoring 21 goals in a season with six assists, totaling 48 career points. She recorded two hat-tricks, including scoring four goals in one game against Garden City Community College this past season. Dillenburg scored 11 of her goals this past season as a sophomore which earned her First Team All-Region in Region IX. Dillenburg graduated this winter cum laude with an Associates of Arts degree and is majoring in business.

Plainswomen head coach Ken McAlpine commented, "I am so proud of Jaycie for everything she has accomplished with us. Some players are easier to coach than others, and from day one, Jaycie was always the type to nod her head and immediately implement the change. She was always asking questions, and there was a desire in her to improve and grow that you don't see in every athlete. She put in the work when no one was looking. She came to every 'volunteer' workout. Everything she has been awarded, she has earned through her own determined hard work. We are very excited that she is moving on to continue her athletic and academic career. We are very proud to have her as an alumni of our program, and wish her all the best."

Dillenburg added on her signing, "I've learned so much from being at NJC, from being a better soccer player to gaining life experiences. I can't wait to continue my education and soccer career at the University of Sioux Falls!"
