Plainswomen Soccer Wins Big All Weekend
The Plainswomen Soccer team played a pair of games this past weekend resulting in two big shutout wins. After coming off a 1-1 opening weekend, the Plainswomen returned to the field and dominated both Hesston College at home on Saturday and Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangley, Colorado on Sunday. Overall, the Plainswomen Soccer team advances to 3-1 on the season and has scored a total of 17 goals. Next up for the Plainswomen is Central Wyoming College on Friday, September 3rd and Northwest College on Saturday, September 4th. Both games have a 2pm start time and will take place at the Landers Sports Complex in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

(Game Recap 8/28) Plainswomen vs. Hesston College = Won 5-0
1st Goal - At minute 4, Nevaeh Clouse completes a corner kick to Allison Seery inside the box for a header shot on goal. This was Allison's first goal as a Plainswoman.
2nd Goal - At minute 17, another corner kick from Nevaeh Clouse finds Rachel Fuentes for an easy tap in on the far post. This was Rachel's first career goal as a Plainswoman.
3rd Goal - At minute 41, Lulu Harris plays a through ball centrally that beats the back line allowing Yadira Ramos to score an easy goal.
4th Goal - At minute 83, Emily Castillo plays a through ball, passes to Emory Herbert who calmly finishes a goal past the defender.
5th Goal - At minute 88, Hailey Pepper finds Emory Herbert wide who blasts a shot in from 25 yards out on the far post. This goal was the second of the game for Emory Herbert.
Breakdown: NJC defense allows 3 shots all game, with only 1 shot being on goal. Brenna Singer and Hailey Vaughn split time in the nets to collectively secure the 2nd clean sheet of the season!

(Game Recap 8/29) Plainswomen vs. Colorado Northwestern Community College = Won 7-0
1st Goal - At minute 5, Myriam Dominguez completes a corner kick to Madelyn Rivera who takes a header shot for a goal. This goal was Madelyn's first career NJC goal.
2nd Goal - At minute 14, Myriam Dominguez scores a 30 yard free kick placing her shot under the cross bar for her second goal of the game.
3rd Goal - At minute 22, Fernanda Rios plays a splitting through ball to Brissa Toribio who from just outside the box, cuts back and beats the goalkeeper on the near post.
4th Goal - At minute 51, Myriam Dominguez plays a lofted ball to Yadira Ramos who navigates through a couple defenders and finishes on goal.
5th Goal - At minute 53, Yadira Ramos finds Lulu Harris with a splitting pass, Harris receives and finishes past goalkeeper.
6th Goal - At minute 67, Yardira Ramos pounces on a loose ball and lofts it over the keeper for her fourth goal of the season.
7th Goal - At minute 75, Nevaeh Clouse rebounds a shot off of the crossbar by Brissa Toribio and taps in for a goal, tallying her first NJC goal.
Breakdown: The 7 goal winning margin ties a program best. NJC defense allows 4 shots all game, with only 1 being on goal. Anne van den Beitel and Hailey Vaughn split time in the nets to collectively secure the 3rd clean sheet of the season!
