Northeastern Women's Soccer Gets Their First W On The Season Against Western Texas College 4-1
The Northeastern Women's Soccer team secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Western Texas at Plainsman Park, marking their first win under new Head Coach, Josh Burton.
Olivia Herschlag was named the DDC Player of the Game as she scored 1 goal and had 1 assist, leading her team to victory.
Defensive discipline, patience, and teamwork were the key to Northeastern's first win of the season. The team worked together seamlessly, with each player excelling in their role. The entire backline and goalkeeper, Ashlyn Godfrey, delivered a solid performance, keeping Western Texas at bay and allowing Northeastern to settle into their attack.
This win marks the first under the new coaching staff, and brings the team to 1-1 on the young season. The team will face UCCS in a scrimmage on 8/24/24, and will look to build on their momentum.
