Two Plainswomen Named As All-Americans

Two Plainswomen volleyball players were recently named to the NJCAA All-American team.  Sara Antic and Sofija Pajevic were each recognized for their play throughout the season.  Antic was named First Team All-American while Pajevic was named Second Team All-American.

The Plainswomen finished the season 24-9 and earned the number one seed in conference by going 11-3.  Their season would end in the Region IX-South tournament where they would make it to the finals, but fall in five sets.  Both Pajevic and Antic contributed to Northeastern's success with them each starting in all the matches.

Head Coach Jessica Squier was very proud of her two players being named All-Americans.  "I am so happy for Sara and Sofija.  They worked hard day in and day out always competing.  Their teammates were a great support throughout the year and are happy for them."

"I am honored to be chosen for this award.  I am happy that I chose to come to Northeastern and am proud to be a Plainswomen" Antic stated about being selected.

Pajevic commented on her award, "I am grateful for this honor and I am thankful for Coach Squier in recruiting us to come to Northeastern and pushing us to be better players."

Congratulation Sara and Sofija.  Coach Squier concluded, "Proud day for Northeastern volleyball!"
