(Game Recap 9/8) Plainswomen vs. Casper College = Win (3-1)
The Plainswomen volleyball team kicked the 39th Annual Shelia Worley Tournament Thursday, September 9th with a 4 set match victory against Casper College. Northeastern came out with fire, with Casper having no answer for the Plainswomen, however Casper was able to sneak up and take a set away from the Plainswomen, resulting in the four set match. The Plainswomen are set to play Indian Hills on Day 2 of the Shelia Worley Tournament Friday, September 9th.

Breakdown: NJC was able to hold the Thunderbirds back in sets 1 and 2. Even keeping them under 15 points in set 2. However the Plainswomen lost their hold on Casper in set 3 letting the Thunderbirds take a set away from them. Freshman Annika Helf led the Plainswomen offensively with 16 kills and Gabby Oos close behind with 12 kills of her own. On the defensive front, NJC picked up several digs with Grace Yoder leading with 22 digs and Annika Helf close behind with 16 digs. Sophomore Allie Schumacher and freshman Emma Meyer led the way for assists with a combined 51. 30 of those coming from sophomore Allie Schmacher and 21 coming from freshman Emma Meyer.
(Game Recap 9/9) Plainswomen vs. Indian Hills Community College = Loss 2-3
The Plainswomen battled a tough five set match against the ranked Indian Hills Community College on Friday, September 9th in the 39th Annual Shelia Worley Tournament. The Plainswomen battled hard, but ultimately was not able to pull out the win in their home tournament. The Plainswomen are set to play Hutchinson Community College on Saturday September 10th.

Breakdown: NJC battled hard against IHCC, not letting IHCC run away with the win easily, the Plainswomen were able to take the ranked team to five. After letting the first two sets slip away they were able to take sets three and four, by going into extra points. However the Plainswomen let their momentum fade losing the fifth set. Sophomore Lacy Hunt and freshman Annika Helf led the way offensively with a combined 32 kills, Taylor Wisecamp added 10 kills of her own. On the defensive front, NJC picked up several digs that allowed the Plainswomen to give IHCC a run for their money. Sophomore Allie Schumacher and freshman Emma Meyer led the way for assists with Allie Schumacher earning 32 assists and Emma Meyer earning 29. Overall NJC recorded 65 digs, 22 of those were from freshman Grace Yoder with Annika Helf close behind with 16 digs.
(Game Recap 9/10) Plainswomen vs. Hutchinson = Loss 1-3
The Plainswomen experience an upsetting four set loss against Hutchinson Community College in their final match in the 39th Annual Shelia Worley Tournament on Saturday, September 10th. The Plainswomen fought hard, but we're unable to find their rhythm against the Blue Dragons. The Plainswomen are set to play North Platte in Sterling Tuesday, September 13th.

Breakdown: NJC played well against the Blue Dragons however they were unable to find their momentum throughout the match. After loosing the first set, they were able to hold the Dragons to 16 in set two. However after set two the Plainswomen could not gain their momentum back and lost sets three and four. Offensively the Plainswomen were spread out, sophomore Taylor Wiescamp led with 8 kills, while freshmen Gabby Oos and Annika Helf were able to add 7 of their own. Defensively NJC managed to earn 51 digs, freshman Grace Yoder earning 18 of those herself. Allie Schumacher led in assists with 27.
