Plainswomen Sweep on Southern Road Trip

The Plainswomen traveled to La Junta, Colorado on Friday, October 7th. The Plainswomen were able to take a three set sweep from Otero in their home gym. Northeastern was able to start and finish strong against the Rattlers, keeping them to 12 points in set 2. The Plainswomen are set to play Trinidad State Colorado on Saturday, October 8th in Trinidad, Colorado.

Breakdown: The Plainswomen Volleyball team faced off against the Rattlers and their home crowd. The Plainswomen were able to come out strong and stay strong despite the energy in the gym. In set 2 the Plainswomen were able to hold the Rattlers to 12 points. Offensively the Plainswomen were led by freshman Annika Helf with 13 kills. Defensively NJC was led by Grace Yoder with 13 digs. Allie Schumacher was able to led with 23 Assists and Emma Meyer not far behind with 18 of her own.

Northeastern Volleyball traveled to Trinidad, Colorado on Saturday, October 8th. The Plainswomen were able to come to the TSC home gym and walk away with a three-set sweep. With the Plainswomen being about halfway through conference play the NJC volleyball team is now 4-1 in Conference and 14-10 overall. The Plainswomen are now set to play Lamar Community College on Tuesday, October 11th in Lamar, Colorado.

Breakdown: The Northeastern Volleyball team was able to walk away with a three set sweep against TSC. The Plainswomen came to handle business as they were able to hold TSC to less than 20 points the entire match. Freshman Annika Helf led NJC offensively with 10 kills and freshman Taysa Conger not far behind with 6 of her own. NJC was led defensively by Grace Yoder with 13 digs. Allie Schumacher led with 17 Assists and Emma Meyer not far behind with 14 of her own.
