Northeastern Opens The Season 3-1 After Taking Down Jefferson College at the Reiver Classic in Straight Sets

Northeastern took down Jefferson College in straight sets, 25-15, 25-16, 25-23 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Natalie Moore was named the DDC Player of the Game after an exceptional performance, posting an unofficial 7 kills, 2 blocks, 1 dig, and 1 assist. Her hitting percentage of .400 and all-around contributions were key to the team's victory.

Anna Ruter tallied 6 kills, Francesca Nuzzo and Rosa Brencic each added 8 kills. Willow Snow and Avery Burdette each had very strong defensive games, they both tallied an unofficial 19 digs during the contest. The team demonstrated improved consistency in their energy levels and effectively spread their offense across the court. Maintaining and building on this energy and offensive balance will be important as the competition intensifies.

The Plainswomen are back in action again on Friday, August 30th against Colby Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming at Laramie County Community College at 11:30 AM.
