Northeastern Takes Down NMMI In A 5 Set Thriller To Advance To 6-2 On The Season. They Take On North Platte at Home On Tuesday Septmeber 4th, Wear Your Black For Black Out Night!
Northeastern defeats New Mexico Military Institue in a 5 set thriller (25-23, 23-25, 25-27, 25-21, 16-14). Anna Ruter was named the DDC Player of the Game for second game in a row. Ruter delivered an outstanding performance with an unofficial 13 kills at a .480 hitting percentage and 6 blocks. She was the go-to player in critical moments, and New Mexico Military Institute struggled to counter her impact.
Natalie Moore piled on 16 kills and 7 blocks and Willow Snow delivered 22 digs in the contest to help aid the Plainswomen to victory. Maintaining composure and staying focused, even when facing challenges, adapting to a tough opponent by finding effective ways to win and effective spreading of the offense were all crucial keys to success in the team's win.
Northeastern will have their home opener on Tuesday, September 4th at 6:00 PM, against North Platte Community College. It's a black out theme night, so be sure to where your black!
